Great little zoo and can’t beat the price

点评：We took two girls age 10 and 8 to the zoo. We all had a great time on a super hot August day.
The splash pad is small but the girls found it refreshing. Lots of benches for parents to sit. A couple washrooms nearby to the splash pad which was handy. We saw a snack bar and gift shop but didn’t go inside.
Two playgrounds one for smaller kids and the geared more for bigger kids. A great big tube slide with an equally big hike up the stairs back to the top.
The zoo is well laid out with an easy walking path to see all the animals. Again we appreciated the shaded areas to get out of the sun
Lots of areas to have a picnic lunch under the shelter. Nice to see the garbage cans being used as the park was litter free.
The train was not operational on the day we visited. There was also a separate parking area down by the river
