点评:These gardens are the brainchild of Dan Robinson who is considered the father of American bonsai (pronounced Bone Sigh...we got a lesson!) There are over 200 bonsai on display here and represent a multitude of trees from all over the world that have been meticulously wired, crafted and cultivated into the works of art on display. Mr. Robinson is constantly working, but he's more than willing to field questions. This was a true surprise. These gardens are absolutely awe inspiring when you learn about the process each plant has gone through over many, many decades. In fact, the oldest tree on site is over 1500 years old!! Additionally, there is a beautiful gift and plant shop on site. Overall, this made for a fantastic day trip. I think anyone who enjoys learning about plants would find this fascinating. $10 entrance fee, but worth every penny.
