长江三峡的点评
点评：This place is absolutely amazing! There are 3 parts to the entire tour:
1. Start at the main entrance to climb to the top of the viewing tower to get a nice view of that portion of the dam.
2. Three Gorges Dam Museum to learn the history and see the engineering techniques used to build the dam.
3. Take the boat through the dam itself and marvel at the technology.
If you're travelling by car on your own, you will need to park at the main carpark, buy a ticket at the counter (if you're holding a foreign passport) and use the paper ticket to scan the QR code at the gantry to enter and board the bus. The bus will take you to each place in turn.
There's food available everywhere along the way: snacks, meals, local delicacies, so you will not go hungry at all! You'll see locals eating non-stop!
What impressed me the most was the boat trip through the dam. The boat is transported down into the dam about 100km by a lift. Go onto the deck to watch the boat moving. Lots of people will be taking videos. It's really impressive.
Once you get off the boat at the end, you will need to take a Didi back to the main entrance to meet your car. It is very difficult to get a Didi! The fare is CNY50 and more for an electric vehicle. Expect to pay about CNY80 for a petrol vehicle. Just pay the fee, or you will be waiting forever to get a ride back.
It's worth the trip. Absolutely beautiful.
