点评：We came to Crete on our honeymoon and having read so many great reviews, booked Finikia horseriding’s lunch option, where (despite being out of the pick up zone) Eva picked up my husband and I from Analipsi, and drove us to their farm. We were greeted with coffee and helmets by the lovely Irene and given a quick riding lesson and introduction to the horses. In all honesty, I found the actual horseriding part terrifying and I hadn’t expected to, but the guides were excellent. At one point, copying another horse, my horse decided to speed up. This really spooked me and I asked to get off and walk. The guide helped me down and would occasionally ask if I’d like to go back on, but didn’t pressure me. Eventually, I did, and the guide stayed by my side as he knew how frightened I was. It could have easily gone another way, but the guide was so kind and reassuring and just met me where I was. Irene was really encouraging too and I’m so glad I got back on the horse and experienced those incredible views. When we got back to the farm, we were served the most incredible meatballs, chips, salad and I’m pretty sure the wine was homemade too. Eva, who took us to and from our hotel, told us she has been making those meatballs twice a day for almost 40 years, she has it down to an art. It was so enjoyable to spend the morning with such knowledgable people and meet other travellers. Whilst I don’t think I’ll rush back to horse riding, I’d recommend this experience to anyone, it’s so so worthwhile! Thank you again! - Also, what an incredibly reasonable price!
