Warm Welcome on a Freezing Cold Day!
Curraghs Wildlife Park的点评
点评：We happened to arrive on the Isle of Man the day before Storm Amy, and once the storm passed, we peeked out from our cozy lodging wondering what would be open the next day. Curragh’s was just ten minutes away, so we hopefully drove over.
Though they had suffered some wind damage from the storm with a few branches down, a very gracious woman let us in to the gift shop while she got an update on whether we’d be able to view the park that day. It was cold and windy outside, and she offered us coffee, which we declined but were grateful for the offer!
By the way, the gift shop has some of the most enchanting toys and games I’ve seen lately! It was a very pleasant place to wait while they assessed the condition of the park.
Once the park was cleared for visitors, we headed out. As we made our way around the park, we noticed how healthy all of the animals and birds looked. The exhibits were clean and spacious, and the walking trails were beautiful. The trails have lots of informative signage. My favorite animals were the Capybaras, which I’d never seen up close before. It was also a thrill to see baby flamingoes!
This is a very nice park, well worth a visit for anyone. We would happily come back again.
