An entertaining evening watching owls fly in colourfully illuminated woodlands

点评：A friend and I had visited the Hawk Conservancy a few years ago and had long wanted to make a return trip. When we saw that they were offering a Winter Wonderland illuminated walk and owl flying display, we booked in. Fortunately it was a clear, dry night and not too cold when we went. The illuminations were great, very pretty and the changing lights during the flying display were amazing. Seeing the owls so close up was such a privilege, very entertaining and the talk going on behind the display was interesting. We enjoyed supper in the Feathers restaurant, we had notified them beforehand that we needed gluten free menu options and non dairy milk, and these had been taken care of, we had plenty of food to choose from. It was very reasonably priced too, I had a massive jacket potato with chilli beef, salad and coleslaw for under £10. The shop has some interesting souvenirs relating to all the birds to be seen on site. We plan to return in the summer to see the daytime flying display again. A lovely place.
