A wonderful visit and an in person lesson as to why we need laws in the US to not allow personal ownership of wild animals - the abuse is awful, and if they are lucky, they end up here (or another ACCREDITED, legal, true sanctuary).
Think twice before you go to a private "zoo," "sanctuary," or "farm." Many are abusers at worst, and, at best, they are struggling beyond their means to survive and then the animals suffer.
NEVER get your picture taken close up with a wild animal, or hold one, or watch them perform - they are drugged or beaten into submission - do not support, condone, or pay to help that business continue. Look for accredited places, non-profits (maybe), and check out internet complaints and better business bureau BEFORE you visit - and if you do visit other places, please REPORT any animal issues you witness.
But here, at Lions, Tigers and Bears - they are the best of the best - and worth the cost which 100% goes to the animals.
