点评:Masquerading as an abandoned building in broad wing shape of Cockatoo “Brambuk”.
Third time in five years attempting a visit. First time just “closed” for no reason in school holidays,
second time closed for Dandemic virus though Halls Gap region not in lockdown.
This time open but really just a souvenir shop with Parks Victoria attendants.
Informed the Cultural Centre was not open “as being renovated”. Ok, I’ll take a look anyway.
No sign of any renovating, just locked up and appearing ghostly uncared for.
Provided literature for my garden walk indoctrinating how “Parks Victoria recognises the
devastation caused by colonisation to Traditional Owner Communities … etc.”
Guess that doesn’t allow curious questions why another handout states they were
funded $5.8 million in 2021 for urgent, immediate works … Hmm 2024 and .. nothing to be seen.
Smells like another “can’t recall” project by Minister Pakula’s Dept. of Jobs, Precincts & Regions.
No transparency, no timeline or project accountability. Absent Voice.
Some associated displeasure here rooted in other parts of Grampians range
shut down and track blocked for vague indigenous assessments.
Again nothing’s ever dated … unspoken specifications & closed till we bloody feel like it.
