Big and Busy Place- if you like that sort of environment. No real faults but the building layout could have been better.
The Reef Club at Westin Dragonara的点评
点评：Arrived after staying 5 nights in Valletta in a more bespoke family owned hotel which we throughly enjoyed and were welcomed personally at every opportunity . Our travel advisor however suggested us spending 3 nights at the Westin Dragonara at St Julians.
The room was comfortable, but devoid of any personal touches. The lobby resembled an airport with dozens of of guests darting around to reception and the exits and at no time was any of the staff familiar to us. It is a big hotel .
The weird thing was it was supposed to be rated as a five star hotel . Yes it was on a grand scale but at no time did we think it compared to other 5 star hotels in other world locations we stayed - and certainly nothing like say Singapore or New York.
An “interesting “ feature of this hotel was that to access the swimming pool ( or returning from the pool with wet swimming clothes to your room) you needed to traverse the lobby , right in front of people resplendent in fine clothing, sipping cocktails and listening to the pianist. ( another more discreet elevator access to one’s room not looking like someone coming through with saggy hair and wet swimming clothes would have been a modest innovation design- but unfortunately there was no alternative. So you have new guests, people coming from outside , partly attired swimming guests and people wanting to enjoy a pianist while sipping cocktails, all together in the same lobby. 🥺
