Great spot to get some skyline photos or just sit and relax.

点评：We visited the lake for opportunities to get some photos the Austin skyline and some street photography. We only saw a small portion of the overall area but it was beautiful. The boardwalk and piers offer amazing views of the lake and surrounding landscape and view of downtown Austin. It was easy to navigate even with other visitors using the paths. You did not feel like you were going to be pushed out of the way or run into anyone. The one thing I would suggest if planning to visit if you are not from the area is locating access points prior to arrival. We had a very difficult time finding a parking area close to an access point that was open. We made two stops based on the map downloaded from the city's web page for the lake and they were both closed.
It is a public park and open to everyone. It was clean minus some small trash and debris. You could tell the residents who use cared for the area as well. We witnessed a young lady picking up small pieces of glass as she was worried someone's dog or child would hurt themselves on it.
If you are in the area and looking for a place to get some peace and enjoy the outdoors I would recommend taking a trip to Lady Bird lake.
