点评：Visiting Pyramiden was one of the most surreal and unforgettable experiences of my life. This abandoned Russian mining town in Svalbard, now home to only around 20 residents, feels like stepping into a time capsule from the Soviet era. The atmosphere is both eerie and fascinating, with crumbling buildings frozen in time against a backdrop of jaw-dropping Arctic scenery.
The tour guides were absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and full of stories that brought the town’s rich and strange history to life. I was especially blown away by the fact that there’s still a fully functioning hotel here! It’s both cozy and authentic, a perfect place to stay if you want to truly immerse yourself in this remote and unique location.
But the real surprise? The swimming baths. I did not expect to find such a facility in an abandoned town! It’s a bizarre and wonderful reminder of what life here must have been like during its peak.
