Lovely experience, good to support
Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary的点评
点评：Booked meet and greet with the chimps as my son requested it for his 25th birthday.
Had to rearrange as booked in December but the weather forecast was terrible, they were very good about changing the date and said it would be better to postpone for better weather.
Took my 1 year old granddaughter and 10 year old godson so they could walk around the sanctuary.
There was enough animals and the enclosures looked fine. Nothing too far away so you had good views of the animals.
Our meet and greet was supervised by the lovely Nicola who was friendly and happy to answer our questions. Took us through the usual safety (no fingers in the cages etc).
You could tell she cared for the animals and gave us lots of information about their history and personalities. We thanked her but she said thanks to us for contributing to the sanctuary.
There is a small gift shop (ice lollies, soft drinks and coffees) in the reception area which doubles up as a used books, toys and trinkets shop).
Absolutely amazing experience to get up close and meet these lovely animals (gentle despite their past traumas).
If you are taking children please teach them to respect these lovely animals, do not let them tease or shout at the animals (saw this a few times and it saddened me).
Definitely recommend a visit for an educational day out and to experience the wonderful animals and to support a worthy cause.
