Our route wound through the Cotswolds’ greatest hits—Stow‑on‑the‑Wold, Bourton‑on‑the‑Water, the postcard‑perfect Arlington Row in Bibury, and charming Burford—plus drive‑through glimpses of Upper and Lower Slaughter and countless storybook villages in between.
Chris’s magic is in the little touches. He was in constant contact before the tour, answering every question promptly, and on the day he anticipated our needs before we even voiced them. He offered spot‑on lunch and snack suggestions to accommodate our dietary requirements, proving nothing was too much trouble. He peppered the journey with lively explanations about how each village got its name, turning etymology into entertainment, and had the whole family gleefully “baaa‑ing” at every flock of sheep—silly fun that kept everyone laughing.
Funny, kind, endlessly attentive, and full of local insight, Chris turned what could have been a simple excursion into a lifelong memory. Our only complaint? We wish we could have stayed an entire week!
