Fantastic! 5 star! So much to do!
The Observatory Science Centre的点评
点评：This place is brilliant!!
So much to look at for children and very hands on: water, levers, touch, feel, turn, listen.
Duration: We stayed 4.5hrs and all the children were as happy from when we arrived!
Outdoor area:
There's a "Discovery park" which has different stations, again things to do, touch, pull so just as exciting as the bits inside. Outside area is fairly large with seating for lunch too.
Observatory talks:
We went to the 1pm one, lasted about 30 minutes (Jazz ) gave our talk, very enthusiastic, friendly and got the children involved by asking some questions.
Stargazing observatory:
If you are an enthusiastic, they do star gazing evenings (look on their website for details). The staff are friendly, welcoming and Jazz in particular is very enthusiastic about space and her role there.
Parking: free just round the corner
Food & drink: we took a picnic but brought few got drinks and sausage rolls and both were very nice
Children in our party were aged 7-9yrs. But we saw plenty of children from 4yrs and older til about 11yrs..
This visit was 100% worth the money.
From what the lady was saying, the lease may not be renewed beyond 2025 )which I think is a big loss!!) , so I'd advise you go and visit, it's a fantastic, fun and educational day out for children and adults too!!! Excellent? We will go back again!
