Waterside Café not deserving the self awarded 'Best Café' cold food slow service avoid

点评：Having been lured in by the 'Best Café In Northampton' sign we entered the café and approached the counter ordering two breakfasts. The tepid coffee arrived some minutes later without sugar and spoons.
After some time the breakfasts arrived and looked reasonable, although the brown toast looked like it had been steam-rollered in a panini press. Sadly, being provided with no butter, it was a brittle Matzo of a slice.
Not only were the plates cold but the entire breakfast was too. My friend and I complained to the young girl behind the counter and she apologised. Expecting a fresh delivery of a hot repast my friend was shocked to to find they had simply microwaved the food and re-presented it to him.
My old breakfast was returned 10 minutes later, again microwaved, It was understandably inedible. Microwaving a fried egg and toast did nothing to improve its appearance and digestibility.
If this is the best Café in Northampton then I will find a venue well outside the town limits.
If you like cold food, slow service and inept catering then this is the place for you.
Sadly I will not return and neither will anyone I know.
