点评:I live in Akko. I've lived in Akko for more than five years. I have a diagnosis from the local neurologist: Parkinsons Disease. This is a mobility disorder. I live independently. I use a mobility scooter to get around. I did use it a few times to travel from my home in Shikun Shalosh, near the Akko Train Station, to the Old City. The Old City has a wonderful Türk/Ottoman era Arab street market. This is a covered market on a City Street with homes on side streets (not mine which is 3km away), and vendors set up their shops and stalls for blocks intersecting a kind of catacomb for several square kilometers. It is near the beach. The roads are often uneven cobblestone and may damage scooter wheels. I drive a foldable scooter without a driver's license. I do have a valid California driver's license but I do not have a valid Israeli driver's license. If I get stuck, it's a problem. I have to ask somebody to call a taxi, then fold the scooter into the taxi trunk and ask the driver to drive me home. This happened so far in Akko to me one time, because the battery failed. I replaced the battery once and it worked for another two years. I bought my scooter in Israel from GalGal Yatziv. They brought it from their warehouse to my home. They serviced it once. That has been my experience in Akko for the past five years from July 2020 until August 2025. I am a local google guide for Akko, FWIW, contact with me is only by text because I am also deaf (not mute). I request an accommodation under ADA and related laws for communication via text instead of telephone for my disability. I have been using TripAdvisor for global personal travel for years. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
