Lovely views. Ferry a bit of a nightmare.

点评：We took the Ferry across to the central Island. I recommend you purchase your ticket before you go or you will have to wait in a rather long queue to buy a ticket.
When you arrive at the ferry, there are several posters displaying a QR code that allows you to buy your ticket. The on line ticket is scanned at the ticket office before you board the ferry. There is no queuing system. So be prepared for a free for all when the gates open to allow you to board. Many people who arrived after you will be aboard before you. The system on the way back is slightly better, but many people just skipped the line, which meant two ferries came and went before we got on board. There is not much to do on the island and everything is a bit run down and worn around the edges. There is an amazing view of the Toronto skyline and a nice beach area. You can also hire bikes. But again be prepared for those same people who jumped the ferry queue and the food line queue, to step in front of you again, not caring that you are cleanly waiting on the next bike. We had beautiful weather the day we went. So we had a pleasant day just relaxing.
