Cash is King, and So is Alias – Melaka on Two Wheels
Melaka On Bike - Day Tours的点评
点评:I’m so used to contactless payment that when Mr. Alias said, “Cash is still king,” I immediately knew he had a sense of humour—and I was right!
The tour started at 8:30 AM, and Alias personally picked us up from our hotel at 8:00 AM. After a 30-minute drive, we arrived at his home/shop where we got our bikes and began the ride.
Alias is incredibly knowledgeable about the plantation and all the trees and plants around. Honestly, if he hadn’t explained, I would’ve thought everything looked the same. A classic example: lemongrass. Without his guidance, I’d have assumed it was just grass—it doesn’t even smell like anything until you get close! Totally unlike pandan, which announces itself from a mile away.
The most eye-opening part? Watching how palm oil fruit bunches are harvested. It takes real effort, especially with those towering trees. And trust me—if one of those bunches falls on your head, you won’t just see stars… you’ll see the entire Milky Way.
