Best experience ever for our children (and parents)!

点评：We purchased five 1st class tickets to accompany our 3 children ages 3, 5 and 6 years, though I wasn't sure how this experience wold be after reading a highlighted review, which turned out to be from 2011(!). I don't know how it was back then, and would not consider myself one who exaggerates, but if I only had a couple words to describe our 2023 experience they would be joy-filled and magical. Our train car was spacious and clean and the elves played great parts. Our car had our own conductor (Skylar / leader) who was able to entertain the children (and us) the entire 33 minute trip each way. He recounted the Polar Express book soon after departing, then entertained the kids with singing Christmas Carols, dancing, playing limbo and conductor (Simon) says. Along the way the elves handed us an appropriate size fresh choloclate chop cookie as well as hot choloclate. The "North Pole" was neat also, with a factory backdrop but numerous nicely decorated small elf homes and a church (some sharply modified sheds?) with Christmas lights and more elves to welcome us at our destination. Of course, on the return trip, we were able to meet Mr. C. Along the way the kids were handed small but very fitting gifts to help remember their visit. Booking the 4:00 departure allowed us to leave in the light and return to the station in the dark. After exiting the train they designated it their "best day ever." The workers and volunteers overall seemed happy to be there as well. Prior to booking, I had never even heard of Dennison, or the railroad (we live in the Columbus area), but discovered a quaint little town with a really nice train depot that includes a C&O steam engine with various cars dating back to WWII. Overall it was a wonderful experience, and much more endearing than my wife or I had even imagined.
