the colours are real!!
张掖丹霞地质文化公园的点评
点评：This place exceeded my expectations! Fortunately we visited a day after rain so the mountains were more colourful. The group who visited a day earlier complained about a haze which obscured the view. There are 4 viewpoints which can only be reached by shuttles which drive around the park every few minutes. One can either stay at the platform or climb many steps to a higher viewing platform. As we have mobility problems we stayed at the shuttle stops except with number 3, which forced us to climb the 100 steps to the upper platform. (It was probably possible to stay on the shuttle to avoid the climb but they do not let you deviate from the platforms.) The view was worth it! Every viewing point has bathroom facilities and places to buy water or eat. The colours of the mountains took my breath away as I've never seen anything like it. We were lucky to see it in the sun, wind and rain, all in one day.
