点评:Took two young (5 and 10) grandkids here on a lovely sunny day and we all enjoyed the experience. Plenty of free parking on site and just a very short walk to the entrance. Only a few volunteer team members around, so many of the experiences were a little static; but this just means we have to go back again to see more of the things like wood turning and blacksmiths, as well as the school room, in full operation. Lots of space to run around and let off steam as required and the kids both loved the 1950s park play items. Lots of memories here for us older ones and new things to learn for the younger members of our family group so there really is something for everyone in this quiet woodland setting. I understand this place came close to closing down but an appeal, followed by generousdonations from the public, have save the place for years to come. The trust team who run the place alongside a team of volunteers are doing a great job of renewing and reviving whilst maintaining the past. On site cafe had quite a good choice of menu options at reasonable prices and our lunch items were certainly tasty and portions generous. Entrance prices are very reasonable indeed. Highly recommended and I am sure we will be back.
