点评:Lichfield is a beautiful town - very friendly, relaxed with music and a few market stalls on most days. But during the festival the town comes alive! The cobbled streets are filled with street food vendors offering so much choice it’s hard to know where to start. We sampled Greek, Thai, Caribbean, Indian, Pakistani, and Italian. All of it superb. There are lots of craft beer, cider, and cocktail stalls and fabulous sweet treats too. There are queues at most stalls but service is very quick. Don’t be put off.
It’s crowded and people in mobility scooters, wheelchairs, walking sticks and walking frames really struggled and were jostled about so do look out for vulnerable people. And like every other day in Lichfield, every third person has a dog so watch out for pups underfoot.
Advice: Walk round once to make your selection or else you’ll fill up at the first stall and not have space for anything else. Avoid taking small children in push chairs too as it’s hard to get them through the crowds.
