Disappointing, unsafe, overcrowded, lack of basic facilities in campsite.

点评：The photography on the website is hugely misleading. As other reviews have commented there are not enough facilities for the number of guests. The playground near the entertainment area was tiny and crowded.
I only knew about how to book the pool from reading reviews on here, little information is given on how the park runs by staff. Using the pool was stressful with children as there were about four changing rooms and only non refundable (50p) lockers. Sessions were 45 mins long and the crossover with the next set of swimmers meant the small changing rooms were crowded and there were lots of cold people trying to leave. You also had to exit through the arcade so it wasn’t like you could walk back in your swimmers without feeling uncomfortable.
The entertainment schedule had changed from online and so the activities we wanted to take part in weren’t on and our children were very disappointed and sad about it. The additional activities seemed expensive for what they were.
The campsite was poor. It was so packed the first night we were there it was like being in a festival, but not a family friendly one. There was cigarette butts, rubbish everywhere, a lack of bins, no recycling, no toilet paper in the toilets every morning, blocked drains full of food in the taps in the fields and a complete lack of care.
Nothing it seems has been thought through from the customer perspective. It was stressful to stay there. We asked to get some of our money back as we didn’t want to stay there another night. One member of staff questioned why we said we didn’t feel safe with fire pits in close proximity to the tents and a motorbike speeding round the campsite the previous afternoon and why we hadn't reported everything we’d seen to security but that’s not our job and frankly there’s not enough time in the day or night to list all our problems. She made us feel like we were unreasonable and then about an hour and a half later one of the empty caravans at Billing Aquadrome was set alight by some teenagers. Thankfully no one was hurt but it’s unfortunate it took such a serious event for them to have any presence in such a huge campsite.
The positive was the bike track and the lovely kids who helped each other when they fell down or needed encouragement.
