梦幻机械动物园的点评
点评：Book timed entry tickets in advance for the best experience (check the typical duration of each ticket when you do). To fit everything in, I visited after the lunch re-opening beginning with the elephant ride, then the gallery tour, and finally the carousel.
This whole visit made me feel like I was at a 1920s World's Fair. Cute whimsical steampunk critters come to life before your eyes - and the mechanists do great care in making the animals move like their biological counterparts. Bring your inner childlike wonder and have a blast!
Things to note:
- You do not need a ticket to see the elephant walk - just hang out in the plaza. And if you stand near the trunk, prepare to get sprayed!
- The gallery tour is crowded and fully in French. I was able to see everything (5ft 7in tall) as most things are done up high. I do not speak French but was still able to enjoy.
- If you have mobility issues, bring and use your cane. Staff saw my cane and were INCREDIBLY accommodating - offering me elevator access to the elephant and in the carousel without me asking and without hesitation. The elephant does have stairs inside to reach the top but honestly the best view is on the first level sides anyway (so you can see the head moving).
