Disappointing experience – tour guide failed to identify himself

点评：We were looking to take part in the New Years Day 7 p.m. ghost walk in Lincoln and arrived at the designated meeting point on time. (Actually 20 mins early) Our group, another couple, and a group of four were all waiting there in the freezing cold.
A man wearing a cloak arrived and stood nearby without speaking to anyone or identifying himself as the tour guide. He didn’t introduce himself, hold up a sign, or address the people waiting. Even though it was clear we were all loitering around the meeting point. At exactly 7 p.m. he simply walked off.
We then called the number on the sign and were told that the guide had left because he thought nobody was there. This was extremely frustrating, as multiple groups were clearly present and waiting at the correct location and time.
If the guide had made even the slightest effort to announce himself or check with the people waiting, this situation could have been avoided. Very disappointing organisation and poor communication.
