点评：This was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland and a tour I would highly recommend to anyone interested in Irish history, archaeology, or ancient sites.
Mary Gibbons is an archaeologist, and her knowledge is truly remarkable. Throughout the entire bus journey, she shared fascinating information about Irish history, archaeology, and the many points of interest we passed along the way. Her ability to explain complex topics in an engaging and understandable way made the experience both educational and enjoyable.
Mary's expertise at Knowth, Newgrange, and the Hill of Tara added so much depth to the visit. She provided historical context, archaeological insights, and stories that brought these ancient sites to life. It was clear that she is passionate about her work, and her enthusiasm made the tour even more memorable.
One of the highlights for me was the guaranteed entry into the tomb at Newgrange. Experiencing the interior of this incredible prehistoric monument was something I had been looking forward to, and it did not disappoint.
In addition to being incredibly knowledgeable, Mary was also warm, engaging, and funny. The day was filled with interesting conversation and learning, but there was also plenty of laughter along the way.
We also enjoyed our stop at Newgrange Farm for lunch. It was a pleasant break in the middle of the day, and we enjoyed the opportunity to see and interact with the farm animals after our meal.
This tour was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. Even having experienced it once, I would gladly book it again. Touring these remarkable sites with someone as knowledgeable and passionate as Mary Gibbons was truly a privilege.
