点评:We arrived near the end of the season, and just after a hurricane, so we did well to get here at all. There was no lunchtime ceilidh but we did get two excellent presentations for which the three of us were the only audience! One was about kilt-making, full of stuff we didn't know. The other was a fiddler and step-dancer who explained the various kinds of fiddle music and dance steps - and then revealed that he was once Premier of Nova Scotia.
The museum section described a remarkable charismatic leader who built settlements here and in New Zealand, and also had info about Scottish kings, Cape Breton music, and more.
We also did well in the gift shop.
Everyone was friendly, and clearly they all loved the College and would do anything to help it succeedin preserving the old traditions.
HIGHLY recommended.
There were very few options for lunch, but Baddeck is just down the road and has many choices.
