点评:Being a serving police officer in Australia, my wife and I thought it would be great to visit the Glasgow Police Museum during our Scotland holiday. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by Alastair, who gave us a comprehensive overview of the museum, and how it was established. He encouraged us to explore at our leisure, and if we had any questions to ask. We explored all of the historical displays which were simply excellent and informative. Just when we didn’t think it could get any better, we entered the International Room, which is a comprehensive display of uniforms, patches and badges from police jurisdictions around the world (this has been a labour of love for Alastair for the last 50+ years). After exploring the museum we were lucky to have the opportunity to speak with Alastair about policing, travel and life in general. He is very warm, welcoming, interesting, a wealth of knowledge and a true gentleman. Whether you are a serving officer, retired or just looking for something a bit different do yourself a favour and visit this amazing museum. It is free to enter, but you can make a donation. Thank you Alastair, it was a pleasure to meet you and well done on creating something really special.
