点评：We loved the hiking options available within walking distance from the campground. The south campground was the only one available and it offers rustic sites with fire ring and picnic table only. The sites are too close to each other for us but we went midweek in October when the park was mostly empty. On weekends and during the summer this park is busy and we will avoid it. There is a myriad of summer trails and winter x-country skiing trails. The winter trails are not maintained in the summer - some are passable and others are not. The summer trails tend to be short but lots of stone stairs and up/down hiking. In general, the trails are very poorly marked so if you want to be sure on where you are going bring a GPS-based app. Cell phone service is OK (T-Mobile). Lake O The Dalles was really gorgeous with beavers, geese and other wildlife.
