点评：We visited what’s known as Canada’s largest zoo—spanning an incredible 710 acres—and we can now confirm: it’s the biggest we’ve ever explored!
On a beautiful October day, we spent 5½ hours walking nearly nonstop (with just a 30-minute lunch break), and still didn’t see everything. We chose to skip the Canadian area after seeing signs that it would take another hour to explore, and the steep hills were a bit much for our tired legs.
There were so many animals to enjoy! Highlights included watching a hippo swim gracefully, a cute baby orangutan play with a water bottle, and wolves energetically chasing each other around their exhibit. The zoo volunteers were fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help point out hidden animals or guide us along the way.
The provided map was very helpful and made navigating the grounds manageable. However, the zoo app was disappointing: the font was tiny and the details were lacking. I highly recommend purchasing your tickets and parking pass online—it made entry and exit smooth and hassle-free.
If you love animals and don’t mind a lot of walking, this zoo is absolutely worth the visit!
