省立恐龙公园的点评
点评：I took the full day Fossil Prospecting Hike tour at Dinosaur Provincial Park. The day was led by the park paleontologist name Andre. He was well prepared for the day, we started in the lab reviewing proper data collection and the history/science of the area. Then we spent several hours in the field prospecting in areas of the park and collecting data about what we found. Andre was extremely knowledgeable and personable and made the tour interesting for everyone. I learned so much about dinosaurs and the collection of specimens! We also learned a lot about plants and animals in the park.
The group size was small and everyone had a really good time. The terrain was slightly challenging, Andre reviewed safe travel, but if you are not fit you might find the day exhausting. Even in September it was very hot, our guide packed some frozen water bottles which was very thoughtful.
I can't recommend the fossil prospecting day enough!
The tour also came with entry to the museum. The museum had some extremely interesting specimens; however, some of the displays were really tired and a lot of the tech didn't work.
The John Ware cabin on the other hand was really interesting! There were also lots of education events for campers at the park and I wish I was staying longer!
