点评：I visited this so-called “Elephant Village” on September 20, 2025. The place advertises an ethical approach and “help for elephants” with feeding and bathing activities. At first glance it looks beautiful – but sadly, it’s not for the elephants, only for tourists.
Absolutely none of the activities benefit the elephants. Everything is designed for tourists. It felt like a circus: shouting, poking, pulling their ears, young elephants chained with iron chains. My heart broke seeing this.
The “humor” at lunch from the guide – joking that the meat was from an elephant – was the most shocking and disturbing part of the whole day.
If you’re expecting a guide who cares about elephants, you won’t find it here. Instead, you’ll get someone practicing their English, taking pictures of the swimming pool, and driving you to waterfalls still under construction – while elephants are clearly the last priority.
The only star I give is for the lunch. It was genuinely excellent. Everything else was heartbreaking and a huge disappointment.
⚠️ Please think twice before supporting this place. By visiting, you are not helping the elephants – you are supporting their suffering. Until this place truly changes its approach, I cannot recommend it to anyone who cares about animal welfare.
