点评：Cape Breton Highlands National Park is a wonderful place to visit at any time of year, especially in the fall when the colours are at their peak. The drive is beautiful, over rolling hills, past lovely beaches and rugged coastlines. While the route can be driven in one day, we stretched it out over a few to have more time to enjoy the sites, food and local flavours.
A few hints... There are lots of hikes of varying lengths and challenges, so stop at the park office to get the information to help you pick the ones that are right for you. The accommodations can vary, so do your research ahead to find the best fit for your needs, whether a motel, lodge or B&B. There are some great places to stay! It's the same story with the restaurants -- there are some real hidden gems out there with fantastic food. As for the roads, they are in pretty good shape but can be winding and hilly in places. Don't be distracted by the scenery. There are plenty of scenic lookouts where you can safely stop to admire the views.
