Restrictive Tubing, average experience

点评：We done the tubing down the Hudson River, quite calm so very relaxing.
The guides were nice, but I just found the experience tad regimented, for example they tied each group's tubes together, so although we were a family of 4 and didn't mind doing this you just felt restricted on the river. I appreciate they want to keep you safe, but I think the reason they did this is the amount of numbers they had in the group they had to control.
We had 42 people in our group, and only 2 guides, so for them to keep everyone in line and in groups they tie your tubes together which as I said you felt restricted and it made it boring in some respect.
If they had smaller groups you could probably have the freedom of just tubing on your own and having more fun with your group/family, being able to jump off and swim with freedom, but as I said the Guides were rather regimented and controlling, to the point they told you exactly when to plop back into your Tube on the water, you all had to do this together at the same time, felt like being back in school, lol. They literally herded all 42 people, separated in their groups, all tied together down the River and I just felt like a school day trip, restrictive tubing, unlike many others I've enjoyed.
Sorry but wouldn't recommend, just buy your tube and enter the river yourselves and have fun, its very shallow in places so very risk free. I hope the Owners take this on-board and review how they run these trips as could be so much more fun. Smaller groups and don't tie tubes together.
