点评：Took our grandchildren to a special events day and the cheapest option was a silver ticket at £65. Very disappointed that there were several “rides” showing on the website that were not even there, such as the ferris wheel. One measly “have-a-go stall where you paid £3 for 4 very small lightweight balls to try and get into glass bowls; it was never going to happen! Plus an overpriced candy floss stall. Goodness only knows what’s (not) on offer on a non-event day. The trailer ride was dire; it needs to be thought through again! An extremely uncomfortable bumpy experience, and whilst it was a steam fair, that’s what one would expect from the funnel, not thick, acrid black smoke belching out and blowing back in to the trailer. It was awful. And not the only engine doing this. We find it difficult to see this is environmentally friendly. When the “tour” stopped at the farming section, I’m afraid we couldn’t face the rest of the journey so walked the remaining distance.
Nice cafe, but expensive, and nice toilets. Friendly staff. Needs more picnic benches in the garden area. Had to avoid some dog faeces. However, great to see how passionate the volunteers are.
