A Phenomenal Experience - Go Early!
强斯顿峡谷的点评
点评：We visited Johnston Canyon during our Rockies road trip, and after reading countless reviews about packed car parks and long, slow-moving queues, we decided to start early — really early. We left Downtown Banff at 6am, not only to beat the crowds but also to increase our chances of spotting wildlife along the Bow Valley Parkway, which is known for incredible sightings.
And honestly, it couldn’t have worked out better. When we arrived, there was just one other car in the car park and we practically had the entire canyon to ourselves. If you’re heading out that early, especially when the trails are quiet, it’s worth carrying bear spray. The paths can be narrow, visibility around corners is limited, and it can feel a bit daunting — but as long as you make noise, you’ll be absolutely fine.
The canyon itself is stunning and absolutely worth the early wake-up. Waterfalls appear one after another as you make your way through, and because we arrived so early, we had no trouble accessing the small cave either. It was one of those experiences that felt truly special.
