The Blue Walk的点评
点评：The Blue Walk posts this disclaimer on their website… “Actual daily schedules may differ.” Count on that… and LOTS of free time. On Day 1 in Portugal, we received “revised” itineraries that barely resembled the “Example Itinerary” for Portugal posted on the website. Day 2 started with free time until meeting at noon for a two-hour visit to a flea market. Sorry, I didn't need to travel over 5500 miles to go to a flea market. The day wrapped up with a Fado show and dinner, which was one of the few high points of the trip. Day 3 started with free time until 4pm. We were then driven to Evora, rushed through a couple of museums, and given more free time for the rest of the evening. Day 4 was spent at the beach. Day 5 started with a walk to Forte de Sao Filipe but no explanation about the site was given because according to Suzy, that is “not The Blue Walk style.” We visited a tile factory in the afternoon then returned to our hotel at 4pm for free time for the rest of the day and evening. Day 6 started with free time until 2pm. A “visit to an award-winning, family-owned winery” amounted to sitting on folding chairs in a park across the street from our hotel with a wine company rep giving us samples of wines. “Admission to the Park and Palace Monserrate in Sintra” and “walk to the monoliths of Almendres Cromlech” never happened and seemed like just a tease listed in the “example itinerary”. Most travel companies incorporate free time into their trips, but this was excessive. In reading other reviews and talking to other travelers, I get the impression that The Blue Walk art tours are more enjoyable.
