Small place but unique experience
冰之美术馆的点评
点评：The place is not big but it offers a different kind of experience. We arrived there just before lunch time and asked if they have food available, but they said no and recommended us to take a short drive into town (5-10 minutes drive) where the JR train station is, and there are a lot of options for food there. The must try is Kamikawa ramen which has stronger broth and Ice Pavillion strongly recommended Asahi Ramen shop. We had a great time in the cafe nearby, very relaxing and very friendly staff. After that, we went to Seicomart to get some fruits for the evening. Upon returning to Ice Pavillion, we were greeted by friendly staff, followed by a short briefing before entering the Ice Pavillion.
The highlight was the -40 degrees experience, and the slide. After the visit, we were offered free green tea and biscuits. Before leaving the place, we get to pick up a piece of wood each to write our wish on it and then drop it into the fireplace (a Kamikawa custom, we were told). The drive there and return was challenging due to very foggy conditions so have to be careful.
