Ardnamurchan Point and Lighthouse的点评
点评：A thing we didn’t realise is that the lighthouse here, as well as the tearoom are all community run, and they do a fine job of it. It’s the most westerly bit of road in the U.K. and, as an idea of time and distance, it’s almost a 2 hour drive from Strontian.
As you would expect, the area is wonderfully rugged and although we didn’t take the lighthouse tour, we annoyed a stroll in the area before going inside for a warm drink.
On duty in the cafe was a lovely lady who laughed when I suggested she’d never have guessed she would ever be a barista controlling a large, technical coffee machine. She told us that she doesn’t even drink coffee herself, so when she started in the cafe all the different names of coffee drinks were like a foreign language.
It’s a smart wee cafe and we enjoyed very good coffee (of course!) as well as a couple of ham rolls and a piece of lemon drizzle cake. The service was lovely, as was our visit as a whole.
