点评:My husband and I decided to go on the mine tour on a hot day. We put on sweatshirts, pants, socks & shoes and a light jacket because they told us it would be cold. I am really glad that I brought a toque, because it helped keep me warm. There were people in there who were just wearing t-shirts and shorts, I suggest that you layer up or you will be shivering for an hour or more.
This tour would not be good for small kids, as it is very dark and cold in the mine. It would really scare them when everyone turns out their light for a few minutes during the tour.
Ethan, our tour guide, was one of the best guides we have had in a long time on any tour. He was very knowledgeable, funny, and interesting. He knew his stuff and was able to handle any and all questions thrown at him. I laughed when he answered my question about how he could do the tour without a coat on and he told me that the cold was his time gage to make sure that he did not keep us down there too long with his stories. You can tell that he loves his job.
He made us feel very comfortable and taught us many new things. We had done the tour about 15 years ago, but he made it seem all new again.
