点评:We took the train from Munich and back. It was a lovely trip and our train stopped right near the cable car and the walking trail to the top. Unfortunately, this has been a hot summer everywhere, so the scramble to the top of the mountain was sweaty. I was happy we brought extra water! We saw people running up the mountain trail (not me!) and people of all ages were climbing the steep climb.
If you like to be outside and active, you might like this climb for the views and the history. Research it before you go. There is a chapel at the very top and a chapel near the food and restrooms below. A lot of people climbed just for the chapels.
Using the MVV Deutschland ticket, we were able to use any and all German public transit (in any city and between cities) all month for one 49 Euro ticket. If you plan to travel a bit in Germany, this might make sense for you.
