Lovely day out at picturesque location

点评：We visited on a lovely summer's day and were given a warm welcome by the reception staff.
One lady kindly offered to drive us on the buggy to the horses so we didn't miss the Meet the Suffolk Lunch horse. This was very much appreciated.
Although in the middle of Stowmarket just a 10 minute walk from the station it feels like you are in the middle of the countryside.
There are various buildings to explore around the picturesque site. There are a couple of buildings with various farm equipment including a traction engine. Another building houses the Romany caravans. There is also a small but very interesting school dinner exhibition. My daughter was especially interested in that! She also very much enjoyed seeing the animals. The Akenfield exhibition in the house was interesting too.
We were there 4 hours and could have spent longer there looking at the Walled Garden and animals.
On a practical note there were lovely modern toilets near the cafe. We took a picnic and used the picnic area near the cafe as it had a tent over it so was shaded. There were also picnic tables near the school dinner exhibition.
Price wise it seemed a fair price for a day out and we converted the day tickets to annual passes at no extra cost, so will definitely return!
