Not too bad an aircraft museum
National Museum of Flight的点评
点评：My wife and I, both of us senior citizens, visited this museum when we were up from the Midlands visiting relatives. We had seen the museum on the TV when Susan Calman visited, and decided that we would need to make every effort to go there when we were next up in Scotland. Now, I’m basing this review on the fact that we’ve also visited the RAF Cosford Museum, which is an exceptional free entry museum down near where we live. So, we had high hopes for this museum as its title is the National Museum of Flight, but to be truthful it doesn’t really live up to that label. Cosford is jam-packed full of aircraft, vehicles and curios, and the only thing that sets this museum apart from it is that they have Concorde and more civilian aircraft, but really Cosford knocks this place into a cocked hat. That’s not to say that we didn’t enjoy our visit or find it interesting, but we really were spoiled by visiting Cosford first. It cost us £13.50 each to visit this museum and I do think that we got good value for money - the Concorde Experience would have been worth that price on its own, but I’ll just reiterate that Cosford is free, although I also recognise that this place is a charity.
