🏰 Worth the Climb — Edinburgh’s Crown Jewel!

点评：Absolutely worth the visit, but BOOK YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE! We booked just one day ahead in mid-September and were left with only two time slots to choose from. 😳
We spent about 2–2½ hours walking the entire grounds and going inside every building. There’s a ton to see — including St. Margaret’s Chapel, the oldest building in Edinburgh, the Crown Jewels, military exhibits, historic rooms and the famous One O’Clock Gun. 💥
One heads-up: no cameras are allowed in some areas, and photography is prohibited around the Crown Jewels and certain other exhibits, so don’t count on getting photos of everything.
There are also some seriously fun souvenirs. You can pay £27 to research your surname, then pay extra to have it put on a banner. And for the golfers, the main gift shop is reportedly the only place in Edinburgh to buy official St Andrews golf merchandise, with some items available for engraving. ⛳️
And then there’s the ridiculously tiny bottle of Scotch — recognized by Guinness World Records as the smallest commercially bottled Scotch whisky. At only £7, it makes an adorable little souvenir. 🥃😂
Add in the spectacular views over Edinburgh and the sheer amount of history packed inside these walls, and you’ve got a castle that absolutely earns its place on the Edinburgh must-do list.
