点评：I’m a South Lakes resident , living just 5 minutes away from junction 36 and have used Rhegged and Westmorland Services on many occasions .Often this has just been to buy food/ coffee but also at Rhegged I have on occasions attended the cinema, craft days with family and conferences for work. In late April I met my friend from Keswick in the gravel area beneath the main car park so that I could leave my car here while we headed up to the Scottish Highlands for the day for a long fell run over the Trossachs . Being a local my friend suggested that this would be a safe place to leave my car and assured me that no parking restrictions applied. Within 10 hours we were back at my car after a great day out and I was ready to head back to the the South Lakes but not before I treated us both to the usual quality pies and cakes on sale at the service station deli. Neither of us had noticed any signage relating to parking restrictions and I was happily oblivious of having committed any infringement of premises rules until I opened the second of the two parking notices which were posted to me within 3 weeks of April 29th penalty date. I immediately appealed by sending an email to Rhegged ; to which no reply ; and the parking fine company . I am still awaiting a reply from Rhegged with the hope that they will take into account my unwitting error and that I have given the Westmorland family plenty of custom over the years. I am however not so hopeful of a reply from the latter as my email bounced back due to there being an issue with the email address provided on the back page of the fine document.
