点评：Large Jacobean family house and Gardens,now run by the National Trust.
Very interesting history attatched to the owners through the centuries,lots of exhibits on view as you make your way around the property at your own pace,with plenty of information cards and room "custodians" all around if you need/want further insight.
The floors in parts are uneven,as you'd expect in an early 17th century built house,so watch your step.
Plenty of stairs,so be forewarned if unsteady on your feet,as plenty of interesting bits are upstairs,especially its long gallery!
Outside you have the stables which you can access the gardens,which are normally a feature of the establishment,but,due to the exceptionally hot arid weather that Britain has experienced this year,they are very poor,hence only 3 stars and not 4! Worth the visit.
