点评:My husband and I have visited Gilbert’s this year, we won’t be visiting again. The manner of the man serving behind the counter was very rude to me today when I mentioned the Dahlia I purchased last year turned out to be a totally different colour to the label. He couldn’t even look at me when he was replying and said I should have bought it back despite the fact we live 30 miles away. He didn’t offer any form of compensation which was disconcerting and upsetting. I sent an email with photos last year of the Dahlia but didn’t receive a reply.
However, we then looked at the Dahlia plants for sale, and bought a couple, but couldn’t help noticing that a lot were pot bound and dry , visibly suffering.
We then went to the tearoom for refreshments and had to leave pretty rapidly as we were being plagued with wasps which were literally flying into our food. There weren’t just a couple, there were masses of them and there was obviously a nest in the hedge or somewhere close. Not a pleasant experience as I’m allergic to being stung.
