点评:An amazing place to visit. We booked tickets to time our arrival to walk across the causeway to the mount. We arrived a little early and were waiting on the beach for the causeway to clear. Not everyone was as relaxed - there was a group of people walking the causeway following the tide inch by inch!
We'd booked the gardens and the castle. We enjoyed the paths and views around the gardens. We found the cafe for a coffee and scone before setting off up the steep path to the castle. As we did it started to drizzle so being inside the castle was good. There were people is most rooms of the castle ready to impart their knowledge if you stopped to chat. Most people just seemed to whizz through each room and miss stuff.
As we went back down we saw the group of gardeners hauling out a huge tree stump from a tree that had been downed in the recent storm. Apparently the lost quite a lot of trees in that storm.
It was a very enjoyable visit. We went back to the cafe for lunch before walking back over the causeway.
