点评:A pocket sized gem. Visited in April with 2 teenagers. As a national Trust venue we were surprised it was a free to visit site!
Parking is small but we had no problem.
Walked through the gate and was met by a National Trust volunteer called Ian. He offered to show us round and we got SO much more from the visit thanks to him. Such in depth knowledge of the site and its history and he made it entertaining enough for the teenagers too. It was very obvious he has a passion for the place and is always finding new things out about it.
The wheel wasn’t working when we went but is still impressive.
Nice video in the stables to see the site through the years and there was also DIY tea and coffee. Lots of second hand books for sale in the little shop too. All the staff and volunteers were really friendly and happy to chat.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit!
