点评:My friends came down from the lake district and once again they wanted to visit the museum.
Good job they did it then because in August the mine guides were on strike, apparently they were being given an extra 20p wage rise but then it was renaged on as fast by the CEO.
The mine guides are on strike until at least Nov 12th so NO underground tours. The CEO has refused to speak to any of them nor the union or Acas. I read the council has withdrawn funding to the museum, all the councillors are backing the mine guides.
If she the CEO refuses to talk will their even be Santa underground in Dec. I wouldn't go again without tours happening underground its nothing. No paddy train ....its a bleak place without the Mine Guides all great guys. The tours are the only thing value for money. She's changed the canteen into an overpriced restaurant, its clear since the CEO started there not long ago, she doesn't want to attract the working class anymore......just people to see pictures and sculptures and spend £7.50 on the car park 😮 and eat over priced food...it used to be such a great day out, not at the moment..
